Role Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Fin
Ops Engineer to join in one of the largest insurance groups in the world, present in 64 countries. Based in Lisbon (Hybrid).

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our cloud usage and spend, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving financial accountability across engineering and product teams. You will work closely with cloud architects, finance, and engineering leaders to create visibility, enforce best practices, and maximize value from our cloud investments.

What you will do:

• Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud usage and spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid cloud environments;
• Identify cost optimization opportunities (e. g. , rightsizing, reservations, idle resources) and lead implementation efforts;
• Establishing and managing cloud financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization;
• Defining and implementing financial policies and controls for cloud operations.
• Monitoring and reporting on cloud usage, costs, and performance.
• Collaborating with Product teams and technical teams to help them optimize cloud usage without compromising reliability or performance
• Designing and running a holistic Fin
  Ops framework to drive a
  - domain governance, looking at innovation, effective decision processes, efficiency leverage and usage optimization
• Propagating the best practices in cloud financial management across the Department stakeholders

What you are like:

• Experience working in a Fin
  Ops, Cloud Operations, Cloud Engineering, or Dev
  Ops role with a focus on cost optimization;
• Strong understanding of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform);
• Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (e. g. , AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, Cloud
  Health, Cloudability, etc. );
• Proficient in data analysis, Excel/Sheets, and scripting (e. g. , Python, SQL, or shell scripting) for automation and reporting;
• Experience working with tagging strategies, budgeting, and resource accountability;
• Excellent communication and
  - functional collaboration skills.
