Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to bridge the gap between Development and Operations, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of
- based products and services. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational processes, with a strong focus on high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and continuous deployment.
As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will work closely with product delivery teams, architects, and security specialists to deploy, administer, and enhance cloud environments. You will also be part of a 24/7
- call rotation, responding to service incidents and leading incident resolution efforts in
- pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure system availability, security, and performance, taking full ownership of
- based products.
Lead incident resolution efforts, balancing technical
- solving with clear stakeholder communication.
Participate in a 24/7
- call rotation, responding to service issues with urgency and efficiency.
Automate manual processes through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C).
Collaborate with development teams to align Dev
Ops and operational best practices.
Monitor cloud infrastructure and optimize scalability, disaster recovery, and CI/CD pipelines.
Improve observability through log analysis, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
Work with distributed computing, Kubernetes, containers, and serverless technologies.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
? Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, and/or mac
OS. - Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Power
Shell, Bash, Ruby, or Python. - Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code (Ia
C) & CI/CD: Experience in building, maintaining, and automating infrastructure. - Dev
Ops & SRE Practices: Familiarity with software/system engineering, incident response, and toil reduction. - Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical, debugging, and
- solving skills.
? Soft Skills:
- Excellent communicator, capable of explaining complex technical issues in clear, simple terms to
- technical stakeholders. - Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, comfortable working with multiple teams in
- paced environments. - Proficiency in English (mandatory), German is a plus.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in Cloud & Dev
Ops Roles: 3-5 years in Sys
Admin, Dev
Ops, SRE, IT Operations, Development, or QA Engineering.
Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Experience working in
- facing, complex technical environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
