- led, profitable, and growing. We are hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our major partners—companies like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata, and others—understand and adopt our open source platform for their own use and for their customers.

- world customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, Open
Stack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and related technologies. We are experts across the entire open source stack, from kernel to desktop, cloud to edge. We are also focused on solving business problems—building reliable, efficient, and
- effective solutions—and learning to communicate effectively with our customers and their industries.
We assist global companies in adopting public and private cloud infrastructure,
- native operations, and open source applications. For this team, we seek several Alliances Engineers to support OEMs (hardware manufacturers), GSIs (global system integrators), ISVs (independent software vendors), channel partners, and public cloud alliance partners. Your role will involve supporting various alliances and partners in adopting Canonical's products and technologies, and helping business leaders define joint

- market strategies from a technical perspective.

Location: This role is
- based, open to candidates worldwide.
What your day will look like:
- Understanding Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in
- world environments - Architecting cloud infrastructure solutions such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Open
Stack, Ceph, and Spark in
- premises or public cloud settings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - Designing and integrating open source software like Postgre
SQL, Mongo
DB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX - Supporting partners in offering and architecting joint solutions using Canonical's technologies on cloud and data centers
- Creating and publishing reference architectures and conducting technical validations with partners
- Conducting onboarding sessions and workshops to promote Canonical products and solutions

What we are looking for in you:
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, and automation tools
- Experience designing solutions on public or private clouds
- Proficiency in Python and Bash, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Motivated, capable of multitasking and reliably following up on commitments
- Interest in engaging with customers, including pitching, demonstrating, and understanding their environments and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju, and Snaps
- Willingness to travel globally up to 30%
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field
