Role Description
This is a
- time hybrid role for a Human Resources Manager, based in the heart of Lisbon (Principe Real) with moderate work from home flexibility
(4 days a week on site)
.
- Talent Acquisition:
Manage the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new staff to meet the agency's needs.
- Employee Relations:
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Foster a positive and productive work environment and monitor employee morale and engagement.
- Compensation and Benefits:
Administer payroll and benefits packages, ensuring accuracy and competitive offerings.
- Performance Management:
Oversee performance reviews and develop programs to support employee development and training.
- Compliance and Policy:
Develop and maintain HR policies, ensuring the agency complies with all labor laws and regulations.
- Strategic Planning:
Partner with Ownership and leadership on
- term HR strategies, including succession planning, workforce planning, and building agency culture.
- HRIS and Administration:
Manage the HR Information System (we currently use ) and handle other administrative tasks related to HR functions.
Qualifications
- Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2–3 years in a management or generalist role, preferably within an agency, consulting, or creative industry. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a preference in a Masters degree - Certifications:
Professional HR certifications are preferred and the candidate will be required to take a course in prior to employment - Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices for Portugal and general experience in HR laws internationally (mainly US and Europe) - Technical skills:
Proficiency with HR software (HRIS), Microsoft Suite,
