Position Mission:
We are looking for a Sales Manager with strategic vision and strong results orientation to lead the commercial development of a dynamic hotel portfolio in the Lisbon and Southern Portugal region. This position will play a key role in the relaunch of Novotel Lisboa, aligned with the repositioning strategy defined in the MCI Business Plan, with a special focus on the MICE segment.
The professional will be responsible for designing and implementing effective commercial action plans, managing relationships with strategic accounts, and representing the cluster hotels at industry events to strengthen their market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy Development and Implementation
- Define and implement strategic sales plans focused on revenue growth and occupancy maximization.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key segments: MICE, corporate, travel agencies, tour operators, among others.
- Manage the sales funnel efficiently, from prospecting to contract closure.
- Analyze commercial performance and propose continuous improvement actions.
Key Account Management and Client Relationship Development
- Build and maintain
- term relationships with key clients (corporate, agencies, event organizers). - Negotiate contracts and rates, ensuring profitability for the hotels.
- Provide tailored solutions focused on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify new market opportunities.
Industry Event Representation
- Represent the cluster hotels and the Lisbon/South region at trade fairs, workshops, and promotional events.
- Actively promote the hotels and the destination, highlighting unique selling points.
- Develop a solid network of contacts with potential clients and partners.
- Gather market and competitor intelligence.
Budget Management and Commercial Reporting
- Prepare and manage the sales department budget.
- Produce performance reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs), proposing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure the achievement of established targets.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Interface with Accor Global Sales Teams
- Collaborate with Accor's regional and global sales forces.
- Participate in corporate initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of cluster hotels.
- Work in close alignment with the Marketing and Revenue Management teams to ensure strategic synergy.
- Share relevant market insights with hotel management and other involved departments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales department.
- High level of English proficiency.
- Solid knowledge of the MICE segment and commercial business development.
