We are looking for an experienced COBOL Consultant (M/F) to join our teams in Portugal.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain COBOL applications in mainframe environments;
• Analyze technical and functional requirements related to banking systems;
• Execute, validate, and support system testing, ensuring
  - quality deliverables;
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently;
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and testing teams;
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and documentation best practices;
• Participate in the evolution and modernization of banking systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in COBOL development;
• Hands-on experience with HOGAN core banking systems;
• Functional understanding of capital markets or retail banking (even if not highly specialized);
• Knowledge of core banking system architecture and business processes;
• Familiarity with JCL, CICS, DB2, or related mainframe technologies;
• Strong
  - solving skills and attention to detail;
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in agile methodologies;
• Familiarity with batch processing and mainframe testing tools.
