Position Overview
To produce full cash allocation to reconciliation of GL accounts, on a timely basis, according to defined procedures, respecting quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely in accordance with Service Level Agreements and defined procedures.
- Download customer remittances and bank statements and ensure customer payments are applied based on them.
- Resolve payment discrepancies through direct contact with local markets, Credit Management and Collections teams, making proposals and addressing root causes.
- Review unidentified or unallocated payment receipts and work with the collections associate to determine the correct posting.
- Maintain the daily cash book updated.
- Perform AR month‑end activities.
- Attend monthly meetings to discuss KPI metrics.
- Flag any required updates to policies and work instructions and send to the Team Lead for approval.
- Suggest and implement process improvements.
- Participate in team projects and initiatives.
Key Requirements
- 1–4 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP (preferable).
- Experience with (country) market and its specific payment methods is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
- Good communication skills.
- Autonomous, proactive mindset and results oriented.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Good mathematical skills.
Qualifications / Education
- University Degree – Finance qualification preferred.
- Previous experience working in a GBS environment a plus.
Languages
- English mandatory.
- Spanish would be a plus.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid working – 1 day per week in the office driven by business requirements (Convatec has a flexible approach to office working).
- Working hours: 10 h–19 h or 11 h–20 h (Lisbon time).
- Temporary position (1 year contract) to support the Bogotá team.
