Your Impact
You will join the Iberia Communications team within Mc
Kinsey’s Reach & Engagement function. These colleagues help ensure that appropriate insights reach designated audiences, building awareness and engagement with Mc
Kinsey’s distinctive knowledge on a variety of topics. You will shape the way the firm connects with people—from clients to firm members to alumni—strengthening institutional relationships, connections, and affiliations.
Through collaborating with senior communications colleagues and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and execution of

- class global communications programs, events, and publications.
Through development, support, and execution of creative communication plans and tactics, you will build awareness of Mc
Kinsey’s capabilities, knowledge, and assets. You will help protect Mc
Kinsey’s reputation, punctuate its expertise, and contribute to bringing campaigns to life in Iberia.
As part of your role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the Iberia R&E strategy by translating leadership initiatives into actionable plans. This includes client mapping to identify top companies, key clients, and whitespace opportunities within the region. You will develop clear, structured, and engaging written communications, such as memos, emails, blogs, talking points, and Q&A documents, ensuring they adhere to high standards of written English. When necessary, you will align these communications with firm leadership to maintain consistency and quality. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and advise on effective communication strategies that meet the needs of various audiences.
You will play a key role in driving the creation and delivery of communications for special projects, conferences, and events, including forums, webinars, and roundtables. To support these efforts, you will conduct strategic assessments, such as competitor insights and event speaker research, and present your findings in actionable formats for leadership. Ensuring consistent branding across all communication platforms will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as you maintain the firm’s voice, visuals, and narrative in alignment with brand pivots. Furthermore, you will lead alumni engagement initiatives and major events, managing all aspects of communication, branding, contact lists, registration, and logistics. For
- facing events, you will oversee the process from visual identity design and audience targeting to compliance, technical support, and seamless
- site or digital delivery.
In addition to communications, you will contribute to defining and implementing

- class strategies for communications and events. This includes leveraging tools such as paid media, earned media, CRM support, and social media to achieve objectives. You will independently lead complex projects or work with a designated team, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders throughout the process. To measure success, you will track and analyze relevant metrics, such as client development, ROI, and media engagement, using reports and scorecards to inform
- making.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining segmented client and alumni lists for the Iberia region, ensuring they align with leadership priorities and comply with GDPR standards. Close collaboration with
- functional teams, including central marketing, Alumni Relations, Compliance, and global Practices Communications, will be essential to ensure seamless outreach, adherence to firm processes, and risk mitigation. Finally, you will define and monitor KPIs, providing summaries and recaps of Iberia-driven activities for internal audiences through newsletters and R&E updates.
Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s/University degree required
- 5+ years of experience in a business
- related field, a benefit if in a professional services environment, corporate communications role, government, or communications agency background - Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Power
Point, Teams) and firm related tools (Share
Point, Slack, Canva) - Broad skillset across relevant communication service lines and platforms (e. g. , external/internal comms, media relations, events, executive comms)
- Ability to manage various projects simultaneously and work independently as well as collaboratively in a
- paced and ambiguous operating environment, while driving for quality implementation and excellence - Excellent ability to influence and direct colleagues, and manage needs of different stakeholders (including relevant senior leaders)
