Compliance Manager

Location: Lisbon - onsite

Salary: €50 - 70K gross plus benefits

We are supporting our client on a key hire for a Certified Compliance Manager for a large project civil construction project outside of Lisbon.

Overview:

A leading construction project requires an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory and contractual compliance for a major Data Centre build near Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to local and international construction, environmental, and safety regulations while coordinating with stakeholders to maintain project integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all relevant Portuguese and EU construction regulations.

Develop and implement compliance frameworks for project execution.

Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain regulatory adherence.

Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

Provide compliance training and guidance to project teams.

Monitor subcontractor adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.

Report on compliance status and address any violations or corrective actions.

Requirements:

Certified Compliance Manager with relevant construction or engineering background.

Recent experience on a similar large scale project in Portugal

Strong knowledge of Portuguese and EU construction regulations.

Experience in compliance management for
- scale industrial or data centre projects.

Ability to liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure project documentation compliance.

Fluent in English and Portuguese
