Compliance Services Associate - Insurance Premium Tax
Overview
Sovos is seeking a Compliance Services Associate responsible for the accurate preparation and filing of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns for a portfolio of clients, ensuring regulatory obligations are met and maintaining Sovos’ reputation as a European market leader in IPT compliance services.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for your own portfolio of clients
- Validate Client Insurance Premium Tax data using
- house software - Confirm tax amounts due to clients
- Create accurate tax returns for clients
- Ensure data accuracy and that returns are submitted within strict deadlines
- Develop and foster close working relationships with all clients
- Attend client meetings as appropriate
What We Need From You
- 1+ years of client
- related work experience preferred; experience in accounting or finance is a strong plus - Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Excel (mandatory) and other MS Office products
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and deadline management
- Ability to prioritize and file returns within legal timeframes
- Ability to work independently in a
- paced, changing environment - Team player with a “can do” attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills as business needs dictate
- Additional European languages are an advantage
