Compliance Services Associate - Insurance Premium Tax

Overview

Sovos is seeking a Compliance Services Associate responsible for the accurate preparation and filing of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns for a portfolio of clients, ensuring regulatory obligations are met and maintaining Sovos’ reputation as a European market leader in IPT compliance services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for your own portfolio of clients
• Validate Client Insurance Premium Tax data using
  - house software
• Confirm tax amounts due to clients
• Create accurate tax returns for clients
• Ensure data accuracy and that returns are submitted within strict deadlines
• Develop and foster close working relationships with all clients
• Attend client meetings as appropriate

What We Need From You

• 1+ years of client
  - related work experience preferred; experience in accounting or finance is a strong plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in Excel (mandatory) and other MS Office products
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and deadline management
• Ability to prioritize and file returns within legal timeframes
• Ability to work independently in a
  - paced, changing environment
• Team player with a “can do” attitude
• Willingness to learn new skills as business needs dictate
• Additional European languages are an advantage
