Are you passionate about navigating complex regulations and turning legal requirements into practical solutions? We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Compliance Specialist to join our Legal Affairs team and help ensure our global operations meet the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Advise business units on compliance requirements for projects and country operations, including legislation, registration, working time rules, and training needs
- Identify and escape potential risks to the Compliance Manager in a timely manner
- Monitor global legal and regulatory developments and contribute to compliance tools such as legal matrices and tracking systems
- Draft, update, and help implement compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Manage compliance documentation, including verification, classification, expiry tracking, and secure storage
- Support corporate compliance processes such as third‑party due diligence (KYB/KYS), commercial risk assessments, and document retention
- Assist with GDPR‑related tasks, including maintaining records of processing activities and supporting data subject request
- Represent the Compliance department in cross‑functional meetings and act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders
Qualifications & Competencies:
- University degree in Law (preferred) or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, ideally in an international or project‑driven environment
- Solid understanding of corporate compliance practices and interest or experience in data protection (GDPR)
- Experience in managing compliance documentation and lifecycle processes
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Portuguese and French language skills are a plus; additional European languages are an advantage
- Experience in renewable energy or global industries is valued
- Familiarity with KYC, KYS, KYB processes is a plus
- Exposure to compliance training or policy roll‑outs is preferred
- Organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and a strong team player
