Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS is seeking a talented Junior Computer Vision (CV) Scientist to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team within the Intelligent Systems group. In this role, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, working on applied research projects that bridge the gap between

Your Role
- Research and develop computer vision models for object detection, semantic segmentation, monocular depth estimation, and pose estimation
- Research and develop techniques of data and model auditing, identifying potential gaps or vulnerabilities, to guarantee the robustness of ML/DL development
- Research and develop methods for integrating image and text insights to generate personalized recommendations and intelligent quotation support based on historical data
- Deliver summarized reports about the developed models and provide proper software documentation
Your Profile
Academic Qualifications- Master-'s degree or equivalent qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Informatics and Computing Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related studies.
- Programming proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e. g. , Sklearn, Tensor
Flow, Keras, Py
Torch) - Demonstrated Machine Learning background, with relevant
- on experience in computer vision approaches - Interest in object detection, monocular depth estimation and natural language processing
- Excellent English communication skills (technical and general audiences)
- Capacity to translate research findings into actionable insights for
