As a local project delivery partner, we are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Portugal Framework and lead delivery across major Data Centre, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and Energy Transition developments.
This position forms part of ENG Bauen’s Owner-Centric Framework Model, developed to
- risk complex CAPEX projects and bridge FEED and EPC phases through governance, constructability, and integrated delivery control.
Key Areas of Impact
- Execution Leadership: Lead site execution across
- scale,
- discipline greenfield projects, ensuring full alignment between Owner, EPC, and subcontractor delivery teams. - Constructability & Planning: Translate engineering outputs into robust construction methodologies,
- works strategies, and progressive handover milestones. - Interface Management: Coordinate mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural interfaces to maintain technical integrity and schedule coherence.
- Safety & Quality Stewardship: Uphold

- class EHS standards and QA/QC governance across all construction phases. - Schedule & Progress Control: Oversee productivity, sequencing, and progress verification to ensure timely execution and milestone achievement.
- Contractor Governance: Represent the Owner or EPC organisation at the site level, validating contractor performance, resource allocation, and compliance with project execution plans.
- Operational Readiness Integration: Work collaboratively with Commissioning and ORSU teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to
- up.
Preferred Background
- Proven experience delivering greenfield industrial projects in Data Centres, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Hydrogen and Ammonia, or other Energy Transition sectors.
- Balanced exposure to both Owner-side and EPC contractor environments, ideally with interface and governance accountability between both.
- Strong command of
- disciplinary construction sequencing, modular build, and
- integrity process or
- room installations. - Demonstrated ability to lead large construction teams within
- driven,
- compliance environments. - Experience with
- works mobilisation,

- greenfield transition, and FEED-to-execution handover processes. - Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering; Portuguese and/or English fluency required (both preferred).

Construction Site Manager

Requirements, Skills and Experience Desired:

- 2-3 years' professional experience in project management/construction work; coordination/supervision;
- Knowledge of Windows environment from a user perspective, with a focus on Power
Point, Excel and Microsoft Project; - Knowledge of English (other languages will be valued);
- Planning and organisational skills;
- Orientation towards deadlines.

Our requirements:
- Higher Education of Civil Engineering and previous experience in construction management
- Previous experience in a similar function within logistics real estate will be positively appreciated
- Additional Construction Certificates and BREEAM knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
- Good knowledge of construction management software: design, budget, time scheduling, etc
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to align with
- functional team members and stakeholders - Communication and analytical skills
- Ability to switch between more projects at the same time
- Very good written and spoken English language knowledge
