Must-Have Skills

• Architectural Thinking: Experience designing scalable, maintainable, high‑performance system architectures.
• Pragmatic Decision-Making: Ability to balance cost, complexity and delivery speed using data and engineering insight.
• Security & Performance Know‑How: Strong understanding of secure‑by‑design principles and performance optimisation techniques.
• Dev
  Ops Mindset: Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, cloud environments and event‑driven architectures.
• Leadership That Scales: Ability to mentor, guide and uplift engineers while encouraging autonomy.
• Clear Communication: Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple language and align diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: Skilled at making smart, informed decisions even when inputs are incomplete.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Kubernetes at Scale: Experience operating complex Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
• Cloud Optimization: Background in AWS resource tuning, performance improvements and cost management.
• Event Streaming Mastery: Strong understanding of Kafka, AMQP and advanced event‑driven design patterns.
• Backend Depth: Expertise in Java and Spring Boot, including integration with AWS services (SES, S3, IAM), databases (Postgre
  SQL, My
  SQL, Mongo
  DB) and caching layers.
• Frontend Experience: Advanced Type
  Script and React skills for building rich and performant interfaces.
• CI/CD Engineering: Proficiency in building and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy.
