Controller for Finance Projects
The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the BNP Paribas Group, along with financial and tax optimization and external growth strategy. It also plays an alert role
- à-vis General Management.
F&S employs over 1800 employees specializing in areas such as Accounting, Reporting, Performance Steering, Tax, Control, Regulatory, and Projects. It is organized around three regional mutualized platforms (America, Europe, Asia/Pacific), one Shared Finance Service center in India, Central F&S teams in Paris, and decentralized departments in each BNPP country presence.
The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is the regional EMEA mutualized platform and group platform delivering services across the entire financial spectrum, including accounting, reporting, control, transformation projects, IT, and GDO. It serves EMEA countries, CFOs, Group Head Office, and worldwide entities for projects like transformations and IT. The platform operates from Madrid and Lisbon.
Your Main Activities
- Manage the Chart of Accounts of the General Ledger based on requests from users, incident reports, or project needs.
- Control projects ensuring adherence to functional architecture, norms, project methodology, data model, and General Ledger standards.
- Implement and review controls on chart of account parametrization as part of continuous improvement.
- Identify automation opportunities for controls using tools like Power BI, RPA, AI, and collaborate on their implementation.
- Define, update, and review project methodology standards, templates, and deliverables.
- Maintain FIP standards and deliverables, including representation of banking or capital market products in OFS and the target General Ledger, collaborating with FIP Regulatory team for compliance.
- Organize and deliver training sessions on processes and standards.
- Administer the Finance referential, including chart of accounts and related tables.
- Serve as Control Tower for FIP project methodology, guiding project managers and analysts on solutions related to architecture, data model, and standards, reviewing project deliverables for compliance.
- Contribute to ongoing control of FIP project methodology through KPI reporting and control summaries.
Profile and Skills to Success
- Business School, Master’s, or Engineering degree completed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, audit, accounting, consulting, or management control.
- Proficiency with Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power
Point). - Knowledge of Finance Implementation Projects methodology and OFS tools.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Results-driven with strong delivery capabilities.
- Attention to detail and rigor.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to set relevant performance indicators and support change management.
- Experience in developing and adapting processes, managing meetings, seminars, committees, and training sessions.
