About Savannah Resources
Savannah Resources is a mineral resource development company with nearly 15 years of global experience and listed in the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) under the ticker “SAV. ”. It is the sole owner of the Barroso Lithium Project in northern Portugal, the largest identified spodumene lithium resource in Europe to date.
Through the Barroso Lithium Project, Savannah will help Portugal play a key role in the
- term supply of locally sourced lithium raw material for the rapidly growing European lithium battery value chain.
Construction is scheduled to start in late 2026 and production to begin in 2028. Savannah will produce enough lithium to supply around half a million vehicle batteries per year, and the Project was included in the European Commission´s list of Strategic Projects in March 2025.

We’re expanding and actively looking to carefully select individuals to join us in key roles of this exciting journey.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Controller will work closely with the CFO and the Group Financial Controller to support the Group’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial control processes. The role requires active collaboration with departments across the Group to gain a comprehensive understanding of business activities, performance, and ongoing developments. The key responsibilities will be:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the preparation and coordination of budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial plans are aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
- Performance & Variance Analysis: Analyse financial performance by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances, trends, and risks.
- Cost Control & Efficiency: Monitor costs and expenditures, contributing to cost control initiatives and supporting continuous efficiency improvements.
- Procurement & Payables Oversight: Manage the purchase order process and invoice approvals, ensuring adherence to internal controls and procurement policies.
- Accounting, Reporting & Audit: Assist in the preparation of management and statutory accounts, and support internal and external audit processes by delivering accurate and timely information.
- Ad-hoc Financial Support: Provide additional financial analysis and support as required by the CFO and Group Financial Controller.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
- 3–5 years in financial controlling, FP&A, or accounting. Experience in international environments or Big Four firms is valued.
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems and multicurrency transactions. Knowledge of BI tools is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical thinking and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English is required.
