Overview

The Corporate Actions Officer is responsible for notification and coordination for the EQD and Fixed Income industries of any events during the overall lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and
  - up of Corporate Actions in operating systems
• Monitor Corporate Actions in all reliefs and identify eligible global positions
• Follow-up of events announcements, forecasts and deadlines to ensure efficient scrubbing, notifications and bookings in general books and recording systems
• Manage the election process for voluntary events in close relation with other teams and departments; compile aggregated instructions to be sent to agents and custodians and ensure receipt
• Follow-up of expected proceeds and results at payment date; perform controls related to theoretical bookings and forecast assumptions
• Act as a central point of contact for Corporate Actions operations within BNP Paribas and with Custodian and Counterparties; serve as an expert on Corporate Actions for clients and business services
• Ability to manage any Corporate Actions type and develop expertise on specific market rules
• Provide regular reports to management and participate in recurring meetings
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems

Profile and Skills to Success

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
• Up to 2 years of experience in Banking and Financial Operations
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
• Strong team spirit with a proactive approach
• Excellent organizational skills with a
  - oriented and
  - driven mindset
• Attention to detail and responsiveness with a focus on quality of service

• The Corporate Actions Department provides services for impacted trades involving Trading, Clients and Counterparties
