Job Description
Responsibilities
- Deal sourcing and evaluation: Support sourcing, qualifying, and analyzing potential acquisition targets, assessing their strategic fit and financial viability.
- Pipeline development and management: Manage deal databases, including tracking and developing potential targets.
- Deal execution: Support all transaction phases from initial contact to closing, coordinating internal teams and external vendors like tech, legal, and accounting partners.
- Financial analysis: Conduct valuation modeling and due diligence to evaluate acquisitions and their impact on Unit4’s performance.
- Stakeholder management: Collaborate with
- functional teams to align acquisition strategies with business goals. - Communication and reporting: Prepare due diligence reports and investment cases for senior leadership and the Board.
- Business development: Build relationships with bankers and external parties to support growth efforts.
- M&A strategy development: Assist in shaping and executing Unit4’s M&A strategy by working with various teams to understand their roadmaps and needs.
- Market research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities to identify acquisition targets.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-6 years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, preferably with technology/software background.
- Financial analysis: Strong skills in valuation, accounting principles, and Excel modeling, with minimal supervision.
- Analytical skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, capable of deriving insights from complex data.
- Communication skills: Outstanding ability to convey complex concepts clearly to executives and stakeholders.
- Project management: Ability to handle multiple projects in a
- paced environment. - Teamwork: Effective collaboration with
- functional teams and stakeholders. - Results orientation: Focused on delivering
- quality work on time. - Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
