Your role in our team
As a Costing Specialist, you will support the Advanced Purchasing Department in defining and updating material costs, ensuring that all components created in the system (SAP) have a valid cost, whether derived from existing contracts or based on estimates and market price inquiries. You will play a key role in valuing product structures (BOMs) and preparing cost information that supports strategic procurement, the industrialization of new products, and the company’s overall costing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all materials and components created in the system (SAP) have an updated and reliable cost.
- Prepare cost estimates based on similar materials already existing in the ERP, using technical criteria such as raw material, weight, manufacturing process, and complexity.
- Launch price inquiries (RFQs) to selected suppliers through the K. Procure e‑procurement platform whenever the cost cannot be estimated internally.
- Interpret technical drawings and part specifications (mechanical and electrical) to identify critical characteristics that influence cost.
- Collaborate with the R&D department and product owners in the technical analysis of new parts or modifications.
- Support the valuation of product BOMs during the industrialization process and the annual update (“Contracts Design Freeze”).
- Ensure consistency of cost information across K. Procure, SAP, and Power
BI reports.
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanics, Automation or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings (2D/3D) skills.
- Strong understanding of product structures (BOM) and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of catalog parts: screws, bearings, wiring, circuit breakers, PLCs, sensors.
- Experience with SAP (MM) or other industrial ERPs.
- Fluent in English.
- Hands‑on attitude and proactive problem‑solving approach.
