Job Overview

The Country Controller will oversee all financial operations for the country, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Record, file, and report all financial transactions properly.
- Ensure compliance with all local tax, legal, and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) documentation and reporting.
- Implement robust internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
- Work closely with department heads, regional finance teams, and external auditors to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Coordinate statutory audits, ensuring they run smoothly and on time.
- Guarantee that all tax requirements are fulfilled and local obligations are properly accomplished.
- Act as the main point of contact for KPMG (MSP) and stakeholders, including the Country MD, Country CFO, and the country board.
- Review and sign off on balance sheets and P&L statements in collaboration with BPO and R2.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e. g. , CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably within a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
- Proven experience managing compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI and other data‑visualisation tools.
- Strong project‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
