What are we looking for?

Carbray is expanding its legal services across Europe, and we’re looking for a Country Manager to lead our operations in Portugal, ideally based in Lisbon or Porto, with a remote work model.

This person will be responsible for coordinating the project locally, building and managing a network of external legal collaborators (freelance lawyers), and ensuring the achievement of both operational and commercial objectives.

The Country Manager will act as the key point of reference for the project in Portugal, ensuring quality, consistency, and sustainable growth, working closely with our international expansion team.

Ideal Profile

• Senior professional with 10+ years of experience, ideally in office management, consultancy, operations, or business development.
• Proven experience managing teams or external collaborators.
• Background in Law or experience in legal environments
• Knowledge of how small law firms operate in Portugal, especially in immigration or administrative legal services.
• Fluent in English – mandatory for effective communication with the international team and global clients.
• Native or
  - level Portuguese.
• Spanish is a plus, especially for internal coordination with other teams.
• Strong leadership,
  - making, and
  - solving skills.
• Proficiency in digital tools (CRM, task/project management platforms, etc. ).
• Valuable: an established professional network in the Portuguese legal sector.
  
  
  

• Lead and manage Carbray’s operations in Portugal.
• Recruit, coordinate, and support a network of freelance lawyers.
• Act as the link between local collaborators and the international team.
• Ensure service quality, adherence to processes, and achievement of performance targets.
• Be the
  - to person for freelancers, providing operational and procedural support.
• Represent Carbray with clients (individuals and corporate).
• Identify local business opportunities and contribute to growth.
• Report directly to the Head of Expansion.
