Job Description
Credit Officer, part of the Client Services unit, will supervise and coordinate the credit aspects of onboarding and renewal requests on behalf of the Front Office. The goal is to speed up onboarding of new accounts and maximize profitability with new clients.
Team Presentation and Main Goal
Oversee credit processes for new and existing clients, act as the key point of contact for Relationship Managers, Sales and Clients, and ensure all requests are captured, prioritized, and resolved within agreed timeframes.
Main Tasks and Goals
- Prioritise and coordinate new credit requests, ensuring quality and alignment with business development needs.
- Control business rationale of new Front Office demands, maintaining consistency with business strategy and trading capacity.
- Formalise detailed requests and business rationale for credit applications, including expected revenues, and prepare business memos for managerial approval.
- Initiate credit workflow with the creation of the credit dossier and coordinate with the Credit Risk Department throughout the process.
- Maintain detailed tracking of file status, promptly escalating issues that require response.
- Update internal tools with new requests for prioritisation and follow‑up.
- Coordinate annual credit reviews and manage credit exposure, preparing the population due for review and discussing with the Risk team.
- Prepare performance reports, recommend procedural improvements, and introduce new technology or enhance existing solutions to improve client service quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (Management, Economics, Mathematics, etc. ).
- Strong business knowledge with expertise in financial products and associated credit risks.
- Fluent English (mandatory); good level of French is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Power
Point and Power
BI. - Good understanding of standard legal documentation for OTC derivatives, especially master agreements (ISDA/CSA, MRA, GMRA, MSLA, etc. ).
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
