Job Description

The Credit Risk Quality Assurance (“QA”) Analyst is part of the Credit Risk Monitoring team under the Credit Risk Department for the Americas. The analyst works directly under the guidance of the “Surveillance” stream for daily activities.

The QA team acts as a key control, assessing compliance with Natixis CIB Americas Credit Policy and Procedures and relevant regulatory guidelines through review of credit request packages.

The process identifies deficiencies and discrepancies, enabling continuous improvement via feedback to the first and second lines of defense.

The QA Analyst reviews specific aspects of credit application packages: Front Office memo, Credit Analyst’s Risk Opinion, and the online credit application, to ensure key data is complete, accurate, and properly populated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a risk and controls expert/liaison within the QA team.
• Support the QA manager in enhancing risk assessment capabilities and ensuring timely completion of reviews in line with policies.
• Assist with sample selection, perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
• Evaluate the relevance of justifications in front office memos and risk opinions supporting credit ratings and sources of repayment.
• Validate collateral coverage calculations against internal scenarios, testing assumptions for accuracy and validity.
• Build relationships with credit and business analysts to ensure meaningful reviews and recommendations.
• Communicate observations, draft recommendations, and track remediation progress.
• Participate in special projects related to risk assessment and process improvement.
• Contribute to assessing the effectiveness of action plans addressing risk attributes.
• Stay updated on best practices in credit risk management and internal auditing through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, risk management, or related field (required).
• Recent graduates or those with no experience required.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• CFA, FRM, or CPA certification (a plus).
• Technical skills:
• Knowledge of various credit products.
• Skills in risk assessment and data analytics (required), financial statement analysis, collateral valuation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel level 3, Power
  Point), Power
  BI a plus.

Soft skills:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills (required).
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing priorities.
