Job Description
The Credit Risk Quality Assurance (“QA”) Analyst is part of the Credit Risk Monitoring team under Credit Risk Department management for the Americas. The QA analyst works directly under the guidance of the “Surveillance” stream to assess compliance with Natixis CIB Americas Credit Policy and Procedures and relevant regulatory guidelines through review of credit application packages.
The QA process identifies deficiencies and discrepancies, enabling continuous improvement via feedback to the first and second lines of defense. The QA Analyst reviews aspects of credit applications, including Front Office memos, Credit Analyst’s Risk Opinions, and online credit applications, to ensure key data is complete, accurate, and properly populated.
Essential duties and responsibilities
1. Act as a risk and controls expert/liaison within the QA Team.
2. Support the QA manager in risk assessment and timely completion of reviews according to policies.
3. Assist with sample selection methodologies and perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies.
4. Assess relevance of justifications within memos and risk opinions supporting credit ratings and indicators.
5. Validate collateral coverage calculations against internal scenarios, testing assumptions.
6. Build relationships with credit and business analysts to ensure meaningful reviews and recommendations.
7. Communicate observations, draft recommendations, and track remediation progress.
8. Participate in special projects related to risk assessment and process improvement.
9. Contribute to evaluating the effectiveness of action plans addressing risk attributes.
10. Stay updated on best practices in credit risk management and participate in training.
Qualifications
1. Master's degree in finance, accounting, or risk management (required).
2. Recent graduates or no experience required.
3. Fluent in English (mandatory).
4. CFA, FRM, or CPA certification (a plus).
5. Technical skills:
knowledge of credit products, risk assessment, data analytics, financial statement analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Level 3, Power
Point;

BI a plus).
