About the Role

We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to own and scale our technology architecture, product development, and AI strategy—potentially as a late founder. You will shape our roadmap, work directly with the founders, and drive the evolution of our tech and product stack.

This is a strategic impact role. We seek a builder, doer, and leader who leads by example, especially in the first 6–12 months. While
- time is preferred, we are open to flexible arrangements with potential for increased engagement over time.

What You’ll Do

1. Own and lead all aspects of BODDY’s tech and product architecture—from backend, frontend, and mobile to infrastructure and security.
2. Drive our tech transition, merging two backends and consolidating multiple apps and web platforms into one scalable ecosystem.
3. Design and implement a modular, scalable architecture as we evolve from a monolith to microservices.
4. Unify the mobile experience with React Native and enhance the web frontend with React JS, focusing on usability and performance.
5. Research, build, and launch AI capabilities from the ground up.
6. Contribute to the product vision, roadmap, and UX, collaborating with the CPO and CEO. Opportunities to expand into broader product leadership exist.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including founders, operations, partnerships, and investors.
8. Build and lead the tech team while remaining
   - on in the codebase.
9. Optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes for performance, cost efficiency, and international scalability.
10. Set milestones, meet deadlines, and communicate transparently, maintaining a founder mindset.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of engineering experience with expertise in scalable systems, cloud infrastructure, and APIs.
• Deep knowledge of backend (. NET, C#), frontend (React JS), and mobile (Swift, Kotlin, React Native) technologies.
• Strategic thinking combined with execution skills; ability to architect for the long term and produce
  - quality code.
• Interest and experience in building AI-powered features, LLM integrations, or automation frameworks (exposure to agentic AI is a plus).
• Product mindset: focus on UX, quick iteration, and translating vision into intuitive features.
• Experience building or scaling a tech startup is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes is highly desirable.
• High standards for code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Based in Europe and willing to travel as needed.
