Currency Hedging Analyst

Responsibilities

• Operate within Market Financing and Overlay Services (MFOS) department, working with Passive Currency Overlay Management (PCO) (“Share Class & Asset Hedging”) team.
• Production management on behalf of existing clients: receive and analyze market data, calculate hedges and execute FOREX.
• Manage the onboarding process for new prospects and existing clients.
• Continuously enhance and upgrade the production process through periodic launches of new functionalities.
• Ensure delivery of daily production, control and validate data received from client providers (Transfer Agent, Fund Accountant).
• Launch and monitor automated order generation per client hedging guidelines.
• Control spot, forwards and swap orders generated by the system and investigate warnings.
• Follow-up on order transmission with appropriate desks, ensure accurate booking in the PCO platform.
• Launch and deliver client reporting.
• Control client credit risk limits and liaise with client management for limit increases.
• Ensure global PCO control framework is performed timely and effectively.
• Maintain and enhance PCO tools (macros, VBA).
• Participate in PCO team activities, meetings, continuous training, and improvement initiatives.
• Prepare new client onboarding in relation with structuring team.
• Engage in transversal projects such as FOREX credit risk management, client reporting support, macro tool enhancements, client service enhancement, new product implementation, etc.
• Answer client questions and requests.
• Accompany PCO clients in enhancing hedging service quality.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years experience in financial services or financial markets.
• Master’s degree from an engineering school or university, preferably with a Market Finance specialization.
• Strong interest and knowledge of financial markets (money market, FOREX, conformity, portfolio management).
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Rigorous, dynamic, motivated with good interpersonal and writing skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel, VBA/programming; Bloomberg experience is a plus.
