A crucial part of our Company is represented by our Global Buying Offices, where resident buyers and sourcers purchase goods locally and scout regional markets looking for exciting products for our stores.
Global Buying Offices in Europe are present in Italy, UK, Portugal and we have Associates also in Spain, Poland and the Netherlands.
Curricular Internship Opportunity
Throughout your internship in our Portugal Buying Office you will be exposed to professional development, networking and have the opportunity to:
Learn how a TJX Buying Office operates and how Merchandise Assistants provide diversified support for multiple buyers in a dynamic
- paced work environment.
Actively collaborating with Merchandise Assistants to enter and follow up purchase orders for buyers across multiple departments
Support the team in communicating with vendors regarding purchase orders modifications/changes
Learn how to create and run reports for buyers as needed (On Order, Sales, etc. )
Assists in preparing for Style Out and Strategy meetings by gathering samples, preparing selling recaps, etc.
Gain exposure to special projects carried over by the team (i. e. recap projects, trend recaps, trend boards, etc. )
Maintains positive relationships across different areas of business including our global offices
Who We Are Looking For: You!
Enrolled in a university program/business school — this is a curricular internship, so university registration is required.
Advanced Portuguese and English proficiency (Spanish is a plus)
Strong
- solving and prioritization skills
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power
Point)
