Customer & Workshop Service Mgr
Job Description
Manitowoc is looking for a Customer & Workshop Service Manager to join our team at the Baltar facility. In this role, you will oversee workshop and field service operations for cranes and provide technical support across Portugal and other strategic international locations.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate workshop and field service activities for mobile and crawler cranes.
- Select, train, and develop the Workshop and Field Service Technician team.
- Analyze technical and field reports.
- Visit customers to promote aftermarket products and services.
- Ensure compliance with internal safety systems.
Additional Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and improve service KPIs (e. g. , response time, first‑time fix rate, customer satisfaction).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workshop efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Parts teams to ensure seamless customer support and feedback integration.
- Support the rollout of digital service tools, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Manage warranty claims and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Baltar Service Center as a key pillar of the Cranes +50 growth strategy.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Sales/Marketing.
- 4–6 years of experience in Service Management (trucks, machinery, or automotive sector).
- Strong team leadership and management skills.
