What does the role involve?
At Catawiki, you engage and delight a broad variety of customers—sellers and buyers—by solving complex challenges and managing disputes and complaints. You ensure that customer queries are addressed and resolved correctly and in a timely manner via diverse channels (chat, email, phone, social media). When a dispute arises, you mediate between the parties and find a solution that works for both. The department is a crucial link between sales, experts and other teams, feeding valuable feedback to improve the overall customer experience.
This Is Who You Are
You are motivated by providing delight, can communicate clearly, and have excellent customer support as your main goal. You try your utmost to find fitting solutions to all problems, doing so in a patient and empathetic way. In addition, you are:
- 1 to 4 years of direct experience in Customer Service or Content Moderation; experience with live channels is highly valued.
- Proficient in speaking and writing Italian and English; strong communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Preferably, prior experience in a customer‑service environment (hospitality, tourism, retail, call‑centre, etc. ).
- Able to switch quickly between various customer channels (phone and e‑mail).
- Team‑player who interacts positively with other departments.
- Available to work 40 hours per week.
- Willing to commute to our Lisbon office and work in‑office at least 2 days per week.
- Flexible to work at least 2 weekends a month and on some public holidays.
- The role is based in Lisbon, Portugal.

In return
- Permanent contract (with a 6‑month probation period).
- Competitive annual gross base salary of €18, 000‑€23, 000, depending on level, competencies and experience.

Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model, unless the role is fully remote or 100% office‑based as stated.
