Tasks

As a Customs & Export Control Expert, you will implement Lufthansa Technik export policies, update compliance programs, manage licenses and classifications, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure smooth, compliant import/export operations while staying current with regulations.

• Implement LHT export control and customs compliance guidelines
• Update trade compliance programs and policies
• Communicate export/customs topics within the company branch
• Interface to headquarters Customs and Export Control departments
• Regular contact with local management
• Ensure regulatory and administrative requirements are met
• Maintain accurate (local) export control and customs classifications
• Ensure smooth import/export processes with all stakeholders
• Follow export/import record retention policies
• Stay current on trade laws, regulations, and impacts
• Interact with customs and relevant authorities
• Identify duty reduction and recovery opportunities
• Archive and Audit import/export documents and processes
• Support audits by authorities
• Apply for and manage export licenses and customs authorizations

Requirements

We are seeking a Customs & Export Control Expert to join Lufthansa Technik. In this role, you will ensure compliance with global trade regulations, support secure and efficient
- border operations, and drive continuous improvement in export control processes.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business
• High ability to work independently in a
  - up environment
• Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy
• Highly organized and have a strong analytical mind
• Ability to develop and write clear and concise processes and procedures
• Familiarity with Incoterms, trade and customs declaration will be a plus
• Having a previous experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
• Experience with working with local customs and excise is a plus
