Position in Customs Department

Open within the Customs department under the leadership of the Tax & Customs Centre of Competences within Finances, covering all Divisions.

Oversee SAP logistics solutions used for Customs clearance, manage exceptions, and handle requests for missing customs data, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Apply strong data science and analytics knowledge, with a critical mindset, to propose continuous improvements to data management processes.

Support Customs classification of Airbus engineering systems and tools.

Manage data necessary for customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance with customs authorities and facilitating smooth goods flow.

Collaborate closely with the Financial Systems customs representative to achieve
-
- end digital data management, involving departments like Procurement, Transport-Logistics, Manufacturing, Programs, and Finances.

Work within a transverse team to support customs classification and data requests from all Airbus divisions via an internal multinational network of customs experts.

Review data quality and propose updates to the customs Directive A1087 and related quality documents, supporting the formalization of the ERM process.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

• A recognized Bachelor or Master degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Management, or Law/Trade.
• Experience with SAP logistics is desirable;
  - oriented programming skills (e. g. , Python, SQL) are advantageous.
• Experience in Customs classification is a plus.
• Willingness to learn about Customs, especially classification rules.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
