As a member of Siemens Energy Customs team in Portugal, you will actively contribute to fulfilling the customs compliance responsibilities related to exports. Therefore, you are part of a team within our European network where you can bring in your gained expertise and communication skills on a daily basis.

How You and Your Team Will Make an Impact

Participate in the development of plans and solutions to ensure customs compliance and optimize the customs export processes of Siemens Energy Global Gmb
H & CO. KG.

Ensure Siemens Energy-wide user support for the customs export procedure within the Export Office.

Process service requests for export issues and resolve misallocations in collaboration with other Customs functions.

Independently conduct clarifications with export and exit customs offices.

Perform and create export declarations including all additional documents for export (e. g. , Co
O, Carnet ATA, A. TR, EUR 1).

Coordinate and support the business in all questions regarding export procedures.

Monitor open exports and request alternative conformities of export.

Create corrections of export declarations as needed.

Support all involved business units (e. g. , project management and shipping logistics) in customs processing of international projects.

Participate in internal customs projects involving other departments (e. g. , SCM, PM) to optimize and standardize customs export processes.

Report regularly to higher management levels and responsible managers.

What You Bring

• Background and practical experience in customs or freight forwarding, or a complete university degree (e. g. , business administration, law, international trade).
• At least 2 years of experience in customs processes (export, import, Intrastat, customs tariff, and origin determination).
• International experience (working in international teams or abroad) is a plus.
• Experience with customs / ERP systems such as SAP, MIC.
• Fluency in English;

German skills would be a plus.

In this role, follow internal rules and regulations established by your organization and legal entity.

Maintain an open mind to identify and report process improvements and flaws.

Participate actively in team development efforts.

Your direct reporting line will be based in Portugal.
