CISO service line designed for startups and
- market clients, and we’re seeking the individual who will help define, deliver, and scale it.

Blaze Information Security is a growing cybersecurity company founded in 2016 with offices in Berlin, Porto, Kraków, and Recife. Our core services include penetration testing, red teaming, and technical cybersecurity consulting. This role marks a strategic expansion of our portfolio into v
CISO and ongoing security advisory for clients who need expert guidance, but don’t require a
- time CISO on staff.

We are seeking individuals willing to work from our offices in Porto, Portugal. However, remote work in Western Europe may be an option for the right candidate. Applicants must have valid work authorization for the EU - visa sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities

As the first dedicated v
CISO, you will:

• Lead and deliver v
  CISO and security advisory engagements for
  - sized businesses across different industries.
• Help define the offering structure, scope, and delivery model for this new line of services.
• Conduct maturity assessments, develop security roadmaps, deliver security reviews and guide clients through compliance and security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA and SOC 2.
• Act as the security point of contact for clients:
  
  advising on policies, procedures,
  - party risk, awareness training, incident readiness, and more.
• Collaborate with Blaze’s technical team to align advisory efforts with practical implementation.
• Help
  - sales and account teams by scoping services for potential clients and demonstrating advisory value.

Required skills

• At least 2 years of proven
  - on experience in security consulting or advisory roles.
• A track record of working directly with clients on security programs, policies, or frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business language.
• Self-motivation and organizational maturity are essential for operating with minimal supervision.

Professional requirements

• Background with a Big 4 firm or similar cybersecurity consultancy.
• Experience delivering services to
  - market customers across different sectors.
• Familiarity with US and EU regulations and frameworks (e. G. , US Trust Mark, CCPA, GDPR, DORA, NIS2).
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 LA, or similar are a plus.
