Our client is seeking a skilled Data Centre Deployment Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team. This is a
- on,
- time role focused on the physical deployment and configuration of IT hardware within
- performance data centres. You’ll play a key role in ensuring optimal layout, cabling, and environmental compliance across
- critical environments.

If you have deep experience in structured cabling, BOM reviews, and hardware deployment—and you're ready to relocate to either Sines, Portugal or London—this is a fantastic opportunity to work on
- edge infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT equipment layout within data centres, ensuring space optimisation and maintainability
• Review and validate BOMs for interoperability, customer specifications, and project requirements
• Ensure compliance with environmental constraints (power, cooling, weight)
• Design and implement structured cabling solutions, including fibre and copper
• Estimate cable lengths, define cable paths, and manage ordering
• Set deployment standards and ensure consistency across engineering teams
• Configure firewalls, routers, and switches for initial use
• Act as onsite subject matter expert during deployments

Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of structured and fibre cabling, including AOC/DAC/optics and fibre interface standards
• Strong understanding of network and server hardware
• Proven experience reviewing and creating BOMs
• Significant
  - on experience in data centre environments
• Familiarity with CMDB tools such as Net
  Box
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach to
  - solving
• Experience designing and implementing deployment processes
