Must-Have Skills and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience as a Data Cloud Platform Architect, with strong expertise in AWS data services and exposure to Azure data technologies;
• Deep hands‑on experience with Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, and Redshift;
• Proven ability to lead the implementation and enforcement of data governance and security standards across cloud platforms;
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) solutions using Terraform and Cloud
  Formation;
• Track record in leading large‑scale data migration and optimization projects with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency;
• Strong programming background in Python and SQL, including prototyping and establishing coding standards;
• Expertise in designing scalable solution architectures focused on performance, security, and cost optimization;
• Skilled in data modeling, query optimization, and managing large datasets using Redshift, Duck
  DB, and Postgre
  SQL;
• Proficient in managing ETL processes and integrating data across multiple systems;
• Experience implementing orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow and AWS Step Functions;
• Knowledge of Athena for interactive queries over data stored in Amazon S3;
• Experience setting up and managing logging and tracing mechanisms using Cloud
  Trail and X‑Ray;
• Familiarity with Iceberg tables and efficient large‑scale data management;
• Exposure to Azure Databricks for data engineering and analytics tasks (considered an advantage);
• Proven ability to define and enforce technical standards, mentor team members, and provide technical leadership;
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to challenge business requirements and propose innovative solutions;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Experience writing solution and technical documentation;
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Mandatory requirement: Living in Portugal or holding legal authorization to reside in Portugal.
