We are expanding our IT Squad in Porto, Portugal!

Are you a seasoned Cloud Data Architect with 10+ years of experience in AWS data services and a passion for building scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms?

We are looking for a Data Cloud Platform Architect to lead cutting‑edge cloud data projects in a European corporate environment.

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions primarily on AWS, with exposure to Azure technologies.
• Lead large‑scale data migration, integration, and optimisation projects, ensuring adherence to data governance and security standards.
• Build and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines, and orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, Glue.
• Develop robust data models, optimise queries, and manage large datasets (including Iceberg tables).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Ia
  C) solutions using Terraform and Cloud
  Formation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across teams, driving best practices in coding, troubleshooting, and production monitoring.
• Translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions, balancing performance, cost, and scalability.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve architecture and processes.

What we’re looking for:

• Deep expertise in AWS data services (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Redshift) with exposure to Azure services.
• Strong hands‑on skills in Python and SQL, including prototyping and setting coding standards.
• Proven experience in data governance, security enforcement, and large‑scale cloud projects.
• Expertise in ETL processes, data integration, orchestration, and query optimisation.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Postgre
  SQL, Duck
  DB, Athena, and Iceberg tables.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to mentor and lead teams.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks is a plus.
• Fluent in English, based in Porto, Portugal.
