Role Overview: We are looking for a Data Engineer AWS to join one of our major clients, a technology consultancy headquartered in Lisbon with projects across Europe, North America, and South America, specialized in IT consulting, application performance, and systems optimization for sectors such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, and public administration.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms.
• Collect, process, and analyze large and complex datasets from diverse sources.
• Develop and implement data processing workflows using frameworks such as Spark or Apache Beam.
• Collaborate with
  - functional teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality.
• Ensure data security and privacy by implementing proper access controls and encryption.
• Extract data from various sources, including databases, file systems, and APIs.
• Monitor system performance and optimize for high availability and scalability.

What you are like

• Experience with cloud platforms and services for data engineering (AWS).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Big Data tools (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Impala, Kafka Streams/Connect, Druid, etc. ).
• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
• Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools (e. g. , Apache Kafka, Talend).
• Understanding of distributed systems and data processing architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and No
  SQL databases.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms for data engineering (e. g. , GCP, Azure Data Factory).
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Work on challenging projects for big clients.
