Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture
• Design and maintain ingestion of multiple data sources
• Analyze, manipulate, transform, and process large and complex datasets
• Enable training and running machine learning models
• Build
  - time data pipelines
• Help customers become
  - native and
  - driven companies
• Support the team with active knowledge transfer
• Influence the introduction of new tools, methodologies, and techniques
• Work in an agile environment and
  - functional team

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• At least 2 years of experience in Python or Scala and SQL
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or relevant subject (e. g. , mathematics or physics)
• Experience in semantic modelling of complex data landscapes; familiar with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Vault, and Data Mart concepts
• Deep understanding of various data stores (structured and unstructured); familiarity with distributed filesystems, SQL, and no
  SQL data stores
• Ability to structure data pipelines for reliability, scalability, and performance
• Comfort with analytics processing engines (e. g. , Spark, Flink)
• Experience with multiple storage formats (JSON, Parquet, ORC) and knowing when to use them
• Fluent in English
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and good documentation skills
• Decision making based on metrics; very structured with a focus on quality
• Open to new technologies

Nice-to-have

• Experience with cloud technologies: Azure Synapse, Snowflake, AWS Athena, Google Big
  Query
• Experience building
  - time data pipelines using tools like Azure Stream Analytics, Amazon Kinesis, Google Cloud Dataflow, Kafka, Rabbit
