Are you looking to start a journey as a Data Engineer at Stellaxius?
As a Data Engineer, you’ll join our growing Data & Analytics practice to be a core architect of modern analytics solutions, enabling business outcomes. You’ll contribute directly to major client projects, translating complex business challenges into resilient, efficient data structures while actively mentoring junior colleagues and driving technical excellence.
As Data Engineer, your key activities at Stellaxius will be:
- Be a core contributor on client implementation projects, taking responsibility for the data engineering work streams, aligned with business and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to deeply understand business questions and reporting needs and translate those needs into technical requirements for data structures.
- Utilise and optimise cloud data platforms (e. g Databricks, Snowflake) for data storage, processing and management.
- Analyse, write, optimise, and tune complex queries using SQL and develop data processing scripts using Python, ensuring data quality, consistency and efficient movement.
- Apply expert knowledge of Analytical Data Modelling principles to structure data for optimal performance, analysis and reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines (ELT/ETL) to ingest, transform, and load data from various source systems into the centralised data platforms.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on data architecture, data modelling decisions, and tool selection to project teams and clients.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Actively contribute to the development of more junior members of the D&A team.
- Contribute to
- sales documentation, including proposals and presentations.
What are we looking for? (Mid consultant with 4-6 years of experience)
- Expert,
- on experience designing and implementing robust data platforms using
- leading cloud technologies, namely Databricks and Snowflake. - Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data optimisation and strong working knowledge of Python for data manipulation, scripting and automation.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and implement analytical data models to structure data efficiently for BI, reporting and advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in bridging business and technical teams and requirements.
- Experience contributing significantly to complex data implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, and ensuring successful delivery within a
- facing environment. - Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of activities, with the ability to manage more junior team members and delegate tasks effectively.
- Proven experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or other iterative development methodologies. Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure Dev
Ops is a plus. - Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written (Portuguese and English).
- Organised and methodical approach to work, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with Clients and deliver exceptional service.
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau (desirable).
