Your Role

As a Data Engineer (m/f/d), you will provide technical leadership, participate in solution design, and analyze technical/functional risks and opportunities. You will mentor junior team members, uphold high development standards, and ensure the quality of pipelines developed by the team. Collaboration is key; you'll bridge technical gaps between your team and others within the data mesh architecture.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and transformations, including architecting and overseeing migration from legacy systems.
• Design and implement robust, scalable data models optimized for performance and analytical flexibility.
• Establish and enforce team best practices for data engineering, modeling, coding, testing, documentation, version control, and CI/CD pipelining.
• Develop and manage complex data orchestration workflows, to ensure reliability and monitoring.
• Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, product owners, and senior stakeholders to define data strategy and deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive data quality initiatives and lead troubleshooting and performance tuning efforts to optimize data quality.
• To contribute to the company's Data Mesh architecture, applying Agile methodologies, and staying current with industry trends.
  
  

• Possesses a Bachelor's IT degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in data engineering.
• Demonstrates expertise in SQL, data transformations, and data modeling (dimensional, data vault) for
  - scale data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
• Exhibits experience with data transformation tools (especially dbt), version control (Git/Git
  Lab), CI/CD practices, and data orchestration tools (Dagster preferred).
• Proficient in Python, other programming languages are a plus.
• Proven ability to lead technical implementations, mentor engineers, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and define team best practices.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking,
  - solving, communication, and presentation skills in English.
• Experienced in translating business rules into technical definitions; familiarity with
  -
  - code is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks and automation is a plus.
