How you create impact
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and transformations, including architecting and overseeing migration from legacy systems.
- Design and implement robust, scalable data models optimized for performance and analytical flexibility.
- Establish and enforce team best practices for data engineering, modeling, coding, testing, documentation, version control, and CI/CD pipelining.
- Develop and manage complex data orchestration workflows, to ensure reliability and monitoring.
- Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, product owners, and senior stakeholders to define data strategy and deliver impactful solutions.
- Drive data quality initiatives and lead troubleshooting and performance tuning efforts to optimize data quality.
- Mentor junior and
- level engineers, contributing to the
- 's Data Mesh architecture, applying Agile methodologies, and staying current with industry trends.
What we would like you to bring
- Possesses a Bachelor-'s IT degree or equivalent experience, with over 5 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development.
- Demonstrates deep expertise in SQL, complex data transformations, and data modeling (dimensional, data vault) for
- scale data warehouses, particularly Snowflake. - Exhibits extensive experience with data transformation tools (especially dbt), version control (Git/Git
Lab), CI/CD practices, and data orchestration tools (Dagster preferred). - Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Proven ability to lead technical implementations, mentor engineers, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and define team best practices.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking,
- solving, communication, and presentation skills in English. - Experienced in translating business rules into technical definitions; familiarity with Mac
OS/WSL, Flyway, and
-
- code is a plus. - Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks and automation is a plus.
