We are looking for a
- on Data Engineer to join a global retail organisation on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role. You will be the primary developer in a small, mixed skill team, so this role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, problem solving, and making things work end to end. You will own and operate the technical backbone of the data workflows and system integrations.

This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, with flexibility across Portugal (but must be in country please).

- day work will focus on maintaining and improving Python based integration code, designing and operating Azure services, and ensuring smooth and reliable connectivity with CRM systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and maintain Python-based data and integration solutions.
• Analyse datasets to support both technical and business decisions.
• Build and maintain integrations with CRM system.
• Design, deploy, and operate Azure services such as Function Apps, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Service Bus, and VM's.
• Oversee code through Dev to UAT to Production, ensuring stable deployments.
• Write performant, concurrent Python code where needed.
• Use Azure Dev
  Ops for task management, source control, and release processes.
• Develop in VS Code, test using Postman or equivalent tools, and apply AI tools sensibly without dependency.
• Work autonomously day to day, with access to senior developers elsewhere in the company for support when needed.

Experience required:

• Strong Python & SQL skills, with experience building maintainable and performance conscious code.
• Data Integration experience - Design, build, and maintain reliable data integrations across Python, Azure services, and Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Hands on Azure experience, particularly with infrastructure components and authentication or identity management.
• Ideally some working knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM (not essential) or other CRMs.
• Confidence managing changes across full environment lifecycles (Dev, UAT, Prod).
• Excellent communication skills in English, able to work with
  - technical teammates.
• Strong analytical and
  - solving abilities, especially with open ended or unclear tasks.
