Role Description

Join Gapfy as a Data Engineer and help transform complex data into actionable insights for our UK-based client! In this hybrid role, you’ll work primarily remotely from anywhere in Europe, with occasional travel (at least once a quarter) to collaborate with stakeholders.

We’re seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer who thrives in dynamic,
- paced environments. You’ll design, build, and optimize data pipelines, create impactful reports, and drive business process improvements through advanced analytics. If you’re passionate about data and delivering

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing solutions.
• Create data mappings, implement standards, and ensure data quality through reference datasets.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and impactful reporting.
• Apply advanced analytics and modern machine learning techniques to solve business challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Advanced skills in Python, SQL, or R for data analysis and processing.
• Excellent
  - solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced data analytics tools and visualization platforms.
• Deep understanding of machine learning techniques and their business applications.
• Prior experience working with international clients or in a hybrid work model.
