Data Engineer - up to €60, 000 to €80, 000 depending on experience plus 4-8x salary bonus - Lisbon, Portugal or London, United Kingdom (hybrid)

Role

The Data Engineer will contribute to the design and development of a robust data platform that underpins analytical modelling, operational insights, and market forecasting tools. The role involves working closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure that data pipelines are reliable, maintainable, and optimised for performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable
  - based data pipelines
• Collaborate with data and engineering teams to deliver
  - ready solutions
• Support ingestion, transformation, and storage of structured and unstructured data
• Implement best practices in testing, version control, and documentation
• Contribute to evolving the data architecture for analytics and operational tools

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in data engineering or backend development with a focus on data systems
• Proficient in Python, with
  - on use of libraries such as Pandas and Py
  Spark.
• Experience designing and maintaining
  - based data pipelines
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (e. g. Airflow, dbt) and version control using Git
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong communicator, comfortable working in collaborative,
  - functional teams
• Practical,
  - driven mindset with a passion for solving
  - world challenges in the energy sector
