We are looking for a Data Engineer to join us
Responsabilities:
- Advising on data strategy , architecture, and implementation approaches.
- Designing and developing data pipelines on public cloud platforms (primarily AWS, also Azure/GCP when relevant).
- Implementing and optimizing Lakehouse architectures (primarily Iceberg ( Hudi, Delta – are a plus)).
- Building, automating, and maintaining ETL processes, data workflows, and orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS workflow) .
- Ensuring high standards of reliability, automation, maintainability, and security in all delivered solutions.
- Supporting incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures when required.
- Sharing knowledge and best practices with internal teams to enhance professional capabilities.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years building data pipelines on public cloud services (preferably AWS, also Azure/GCP).
- 1+ years in data solution architecture, design, development, and support.
- Experience with:
- Database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, Advanced Analytics.
- Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).
- Pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS workflow).
- Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg) and optimizations (Compaction, Z-Order, etc. ).
- Software development and transformation (Python, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, Docker, CI/CD, automation).
- AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Crawlers, Step Functions, AWS workflow, dynamo db, AWS batch
- Dev
Ops and Agile principles, infrastructure as code (Cloud Formation and Terraform), artifact/vulnerability management. - Awareness of cloud foundation services (networking, security, storage, IAM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus.
- Preferred: experience with
- based applications (Docker) and Linux-based infrastructure.
