What will you be doing?

As a Data Engineer, you will architect and build scalable data pipelines and governance frameworks from the ground up in a greenfield environment. You'll collaborate closely with our Group IT & Digital Team to unlock the power of unstructured data and drive our digital transformation. Your work will enable secure, AI-ready data platforms that fuel business intelligence and future innovation.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to extract data from various business systems.
• Organize and classify data using ROT (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) analysis techniques.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions using Microsoft Azure Files, Share
  Point, and other Microsoft technologies.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights via Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Support AI and machine learning initiatives by ensuring clean,
  - structured, and accessible data.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
• Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance and
  - efficiency.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer with experience in development and maintenance support.
• Experience in greenfield or transformation projects.
• Experience in a projects focused on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or Analytics projects.
  
  

• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft technologies: Azure (Data Factory, Files, Synapse), Share
  Point, Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualisation tools (Power BI).
• ETL, Data engineering and scripting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft technologies: Azure (Data Factory, Files, Synapse), Share
  Point, Power BI.
• Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with ROT analysis and data lifecycle management.
• Understanding of AI/ML data requirements and integration.
• Strong project management skills and adaptability to new technologies.
• Strong knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
