For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Data Engineer for a long contract based in Porto, Portugal.

Competencies:

• Advanced knowledge of AWS data services (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift)
• Strong expertise in SQL development and optimization across My
  SQL and Postgre
  SQL
• Proficiency in ETL pipelines and orchestration (Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions)
• Cloud networking knowledge (VPC, subnets, routing tables, security groups)
• Data modeling and optimization for performance and scalability
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and documentation skills

Essential Skills:

• AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift, Cloud
  Trail, X-Ray
• Python programming for data engineering workflows
• SQL (My
  SQL, Postgre
  SQL) with performance tuning expertise
• Data modeling and integration for scalable systems

• Strong technical leadership and mentoring ability
