Responsibilities
- The Data Engineering Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and technical components of the Cockpit Data Factory.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the data factory aligns with the product vision, customer needs, and market trends.
- Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions that are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Translate stakeholders’ requirements into technical solutions and identify opportunities to optimize data processes.
- Contribute to the technical readiness of the Cockpit team and foster continuous improvement.
Dimension of Role
- Lead a team of data specialists and collaborate with AXA GO products and AXA entities to meet data requirements and Qo
S across multiple business areas. - Define the Cockpit Data Factory roadmap in line with product vision and AXA GO priorities.
Technical Expertise
- Data Engineering tools and technologies (e. g. , Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Py
Spark, Azure Analysis Services). - Design and implement secure, scalable data solutions; expert in Power BI.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools is a plus.
Leadership
- Lead a team of data specialists; provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure timely delivery and quality.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Communication
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Proactively identify issues, research and test solutions, troubleshoot platform issues, and propose resolutions.
Strategic Thinking
- Contribute to data strategy and
- term planning; balance business goals with technical feasibility.
Mentoring
- Coach and mentor junior team members; lead training on Data Engineering tools and technologies; promote knowledge sharing and documentation.
Cockpit Data Factory Platform
- Lead technical activities related to data pipeline delivery; define configurations; maintain documentation; optimize performance and cost; implement upgrades and security compliance; coordinate with data tool vendors.
Data Aggregation, Analysis and Reporting
- Assess GO and Opcos data needs; design and implement data solutions to onboard new scopes to Cockpit Data Factory; provide metrics and insights.
Transformation and Innovation
- Contribute to the data solutions roadmap; continuous improvement and market/technology watch; IT transformation aligned with GO priorities.

Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering tools and methodologies; substantial experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Py
Spark, and Azure Analysis Services; Python scripting; knowledge of data integration tools; familiarity with Scrum, Agile, Dev
Ops; project management; cloud computing awareness; broad IT and data architecture knowledge.
Non-technical Skills
- Product ownership for data platforms; project delivery within AGILE/ Scrum / Kanban / Dev
Ops frameworks; market watch; knowledge of compliance, security, and data privacy; nice to have: Insurance business experience.
