Data Engineering Tech Lead (AWS) Lisboa

We are looking for a Technical Lead in Data Engineering with deep AWS experience to architect, build, and lead data platform initiatives. The role demands
- on development of data pipelines, orchestration, and platform components in a cloud environment. You’ll mentor engineers, ensure high data quality and performance, define best practices, and partner closely with product, analytics, and architecture teams to deliver business value through data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows using AWS services (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, etc. )
• Lead and review technical decisions: architecture, data models, APIs, modular components
• Mentor and manage a small data engineering team
• Ensure data reliability, performance, monitoring, and error handling
• Optimize cost, performance, and security in data operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Document architecture, guidelines, and maintain technical standards
• AWS (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Cloud

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS data services and building data pipelines
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Ability to mentor and lead a small team
• Strong collaboration with product, analytics, and architecture teams
