Data Governance Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking Data Governance Managers at junior, mid, and senior levels to join a fully remote, international project. If you are based in Brazil or Portugal and have experience with AWS Glue or Microsoft Purview , this is a great opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align governance practices with business goals.

Manage metadata, data lineage, and data cataloging using tools like AWS Glue or Microsoft Purview.

Monitor and report on data governance KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Experience in data governance, data management, or related roles (junior to senior levels welcome).

Hands-on experience with AWS Glue or Microsoft Purview (at least one is required).

Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance (e. g. , GDPR), and data lifecycle management.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Must be currently residing in Brazil or Portugal.

Nice to Have:

Certifications in data governance or cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS, Azure).

Familiarity with data quality tools and frameworks.

Experience working in agile or
- functional teams.
